Training labs include the AUT Roche Diagnostics Laboratory – which has state-of-the-art medical and biomedical testing equipment, and is the one university lab of its type in New Zealand. We believe in high-quality research that has impact, and have world-class researchers and analysis strengths throughout science.
International Collaborations

The Public Face of Science project is funded in part by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the Rita Allen Foundation, and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. On December 12, 2016, on the Century Association in New York, the Academy hosted the Morton L. Mandel Public Lecture on “Communicating Science through Art” with Diane Ackerman and Alan Alda. This program served as the Academy’s 2048th Stated Meeting and included an introduction by Geneva Overholser.
